Tongan man sentenced to life | 17 years behind bars

Simon Latu shares his story of redemption. Growing up in east Auckland with a christian family , he unfortunately fell into a life of crime. After returning from Australia in the early 2000's he landed in prison where he was sentenced to life imprisonment. After serving almost 18 years, he was granted parole and has founded, alongside another former inmate Petani Fa’avae, a youth service provider called “New leaf,”where they advise the youth not to make the same mistakes they did.
