Ellesse Andrews | Olympic medalist, Commonwealth triple gold champion, NZ racing Cyclist
Ellesse Andrews is an Olympic medalist, a commonwealth triple gold medal champion, New Zealand racing cyclist with a remarkable career and even more inspiring personality. Ellesse earned a silver medal in the women’s keirin cycling at the Tokyo 2020 games, and captivated NZ Aotearoa with her display of pride for her country, her team, and herself. Last year she became a four-time Commonwealth Games medal winner. In 2023, amongst plenty of racing and training she was also recognized as a finalist for Sports Women of the Year at the Halberg Foundation Awards. She is a teammate, a role model, a daughter, and a friend to many. This was so much fun, she is an absolute wonder. I learned a lot also about the elite cycling space, with Ellesse explaining the differences between individual pursuits, keirin, sprint & endurance and more!
