David ShanhunThis podcast is a space for musicians to connect, share, and to laugh and cry in recognition of the struggles, joys, challenges, and delights that come with being a full time musician.
It's also a space and an invitation for others to see inside my mind as I navigate touring, song releases, practise, finances, music life in general - and putting myself out in the public space and being both judged and rewarded for it all at once.
It grew out of my own loneliness at times, feeling misunderstood, and unacknowledged for what I put into my craft as a musician - as well as from the absolute joy it is to have followed a vision I had as a 14 year old kid to make music as my life's work. I hope these chats serve as a friend when you need one, a light in dark times, and the inspiration you need when your own tank is empty.
