
106: Breaking Down the New LDS Garment Changes
Natasha is joined by Rachel Larsen, ACMHC, on this episode of the Natasha Helfer Podcast as they break down the new LDS garment changes.
Rachel is a provider at Symmetry Counseling. Rachel believes in the power of human connection and the power that comes from joining together in healing processes. She is passionate about radical self-acceptance and authenticity and believes honesty and acceptance are vital to growth and healing. Rachel strives to provide a safe and welcoming space for all clients, no matter their pace or life challenges. She takes a collaborative approach to treatment planning and works to empower and uplift her clients without judgment.
Rachel focuses specifically on emotional regulation, unprocessed trauma, and relationship structure/navigation. She has experience working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, body image and eating disorders, PTSD and c-PTSD, OCD, identity exploration, relationship restructuring, divorce, faith, and other life transitions.
Rachel takes a mind/body approach when working with clients to provide strategies for emotional regulation and sustainable practices for ongoing mental health support. She has received education and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Rachel teaches Cognitive Psychology and Abnormal Psychology at Utah Valley University. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC).
