Lesson 12 - Asking "Are you hungry?"
In this lesson, we learn how to ask, "Are you hungry?" in the Cook Islands Māori language.
The Rarotonga dialect is "E matepongi toou?" and the Aitutaki dialect is "E 'iakai toou?".
Replies to this question can be:
yes = ae, pronounced: [ah-eh]
no = kare, pronounced: [car-reh]
In Aitutaki, no is 'kaore" [car-oh-reh]
