Hill Country Futures is a long-term $8.1m programme focused on future-proofing the profitability, sustainability and well-being of New Zealand’s hill country farmers, their farm systems, the environment and rural communities.
The scene is changing for New Zealand sheep and beef farmers. Society’s expectations around transparency of food production, environmental sustainability and climate change obligations impact farmers’ livelihoods.
