Dr. Zaras is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science, School of Physical Education, Sport Science, and Occupational Therapy at the Democritus University of Thrace in Komotini, Greece. He teaches courses on resistance training, designing resistance training programs, and Olympic weightlifting. His research focuses on strengthβpower training, Olympic weightlifting, neuromuscular physiology, and performance.
