MARIE (CHAP 17-18)
In chapter 17 Retief oversees the marriage of Marie and Allan, but their celebration is short-lived as the Boers, with Allan in tow as interpreter, leave for the camp of Dingaan the Zulu King. Once at the camp. Allan received warnings from a number of people that there is treachery afoot, but retief is not listening.
